WESACCO was registered in 1997 under the certificate of societies No. CS/8073. it went under a period of dormancy and picked up in 2005 under the guidance of Mr. Francis Wachiya Sayia.
WESACCO is a membership savings and lending organization operating under the Co-operative principles. It serves farmers in West Kenya sugar belt.
The society has its offices located next to the premises of WEST KENYA Sugar Company ltd The The core business of the Society is to mobilize funds from the same through the front- and back office service activities. The front office offers both loaning and banking services as the back office offer loaning and share holding services

"To facilitate through information, education and training active participation of members in the affairs of the society, promote investment programmes, savings and credit facilities amongst its members"
WESACCO desire to achieve the following among others.
- Establish a withdrawable savings section to mobilize financial resources from members for their economic benefit.
- Provide members with credit facilities in form of loans
- Improve the Society’s liquidity and help create more financial services
- Facilitate the payment of members’ interest on deposits and dividends.
- Provide members with basic banking services, such as an online bank account, safety for their savings collection, payment services

If you want a bank account with Wesacco, just click here and sign up. Then you have an UMVA ID. To finish the registration and get your Bank Account, the administration of the bank need a picture, address and ID info. As soon as the Identification is finished, the account is on line available
Training
Wesacco offer special training for their members, the training comes with an electronic bank account.
The basic training is
- what is a computer,
- what is internet,
- what is email,
- what is e-banking,
- what is VoIP.
After this training members are able to do several actions without cost, that are delivering large savings for them. They can work with a computer to call around the world for free, send emails (in stead of letters), look at their bank account, transfer money, be able to train more with distance learning. There is a special offer to get all this training and 6 months account management for 600 shilling, for more info please contact the administration of the bank.
